Near the end of the routine, Will went to pick up his partner but as he twirled her around, the professional dancer’s earring fell off her ear and skidded across the floor.
The couple carried on with their performance, trying their best not to be distracted by what happened.
At the end, Will ripped open his shirt, much to the audience’s delight and Tess couldn’t help but comment.
When the couple walked over to her for the judges’ comments, she joked: “Getting off to a flying start, losing buttons and earrings and all sorts! We are live after all!”
