The outspoken journalist clashed with lawyer Paula Rhone-Adrien on his TalkTV programme Piers Morgan: Uncensored over the way the UK press has treated the Duchess of Sussex. As they discussed allegations of racist bullying, Piers remained adamant Meghan Markle received “no racism whatsoever” before she walked down the aisle with Prince Harry.
Piers began: “There was no racism whatsoever towards Meghan Markle before that wedding from the press in this country. None. Nada. Zero.”
His guest clapped back at Piers, telling him he “did not know that” as the debate heated up.
She fumed: “You can’t say that, because you don’t know what existed for her and what she’s saying and what Harry is saying, because I notice that we’re focusing on Meghan, but Harry is part of this as well.”

After the interview aired, Piers publicly said he did not believe the Duchess’ explosive claims.
He added during Wednesday’s instalment of his show: “If all they did was tell the truth, that’s one thing. But 17 statements from the Oprah interview alone have proven to be untrue, we still don’t know who this supposed royal was who raised concern over their child’s skin colour.”
Piers notoriously left his presenting role on Good Morning Britain following a row live on air with co-star Alex Beresford over Meghan’s claims.
The journalist recently took aim at Oprah after the American interviewer said she hoped the Royal Family could heal their rift following the Queen’s death.

She revealed to Gayle King on CBS she never set out to have a “bombshell interview” with the couple.
Piers was not convinced by Oprah’s comments and took to Twitter to criticise her to his millions of followers.
He fumed: “Great to see Oprah Winfrey call for healing of massive rifts in the Royal Family – that she enabled.”
Meghan has put her podcast, Archetypes, on hold as the Royal Family continues to mourn the loss of the Queen and Harry’s memoir could now be released later than planned as a mark of respect.
Harry and Meghan have remained in the UK following the announcement of the 96-year-old monarch’s death last Thursday.
They have been pictured with Prince William and Kate Middleton greeting mourners outside Windsor Castle as well as inside Westminster Hall as part of the Queen’s lying in state procession.
Meghan, 41, was visibly emotional during the service on Wednesday. The Queen’s funeral is taking place on Monday at Westminster Abbey.
