Naga Munchetty reacts as BBC Breakfast host's colleague announces new TV role

She was joined on the show by Joss Stone who won the second series of the programme.

Keen to know more about the colourful costumes, Naga asked: “What was it like being in the… I mean, sausage and chips?

“Honestly it’s the most bizarre thing. I find it strangely addictive,” she confessed.

The presenter explained: “The first time I saw The Masked Singer I was like ‘This is ridiculous. What’s reality TV come to now?’. Then you get strangely drawn to it.

“What was it like being in that? It must have been boiling hot,” Naga questioned.

Joss replied: “It was boiling hot and it was very, very heavy.”

BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am.
