Police have arrived at a Lidl in Manchester this morning, footage posted online shows.
Officers, who are reportedly armed, surrounded the shop and have taped off the area.
Twitter user @BMC_molecule posted a video showing the megastore surrounded by police cars.
He wrote: “Something happening at Lidl on Altrincham Road, armed police presence and whole area taped off.”
Manchester Evening News reported that eyewitnesses saw officers “searching bushes” nearby.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed officers were called to a “disturbance” at the location.
They have since arrested one man, and have launched enquiries.
The spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police were called to Timpson Road in Wythenshawe at around 9:30am this morning (Tuesday 6 December 2022) to reports of a disturbance.
“Officers attended the scene and one man has been arrested as a result. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.”
