Liverpool 'make initial moves' to sign Jude Bellingham and star knows club are 'very keen'

The Stourbridge-born player has earned a reputation as one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe. He has scored three goals in 10 appearances this season, in his third full campaign in the Bundesliga.

Bellingham made his 100th appearance for Dortmund in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Schalke. Dortmund will hope to fend off interest for much longer.

A contract extension signed last summer takes Bellingham through to 2025. But clubs could see next summer as the perfect opportunity to sign the 15-cap England international.

Liverpool’s long-term admiration and desperate need for a new, younger midfielder see them lead the race. The likes of Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked, as well as Spanish giants Real Madrid.
