According to Valentine Low’s upcoming new bombshell book, Courtiers: The Inside Story of the Palace Power Struggles, Prince Harry previously sent an email expressing how “unhappy” he was within the monarchy, but was denied a meeting with the Queen, who was supposedly “confused about her diary”. Christina Garibaldi and Christine Ross discussed the latest claims on their latest episode of Royally Us.

Ms Garibaldi stated that Prince Harry had expressed that he was “unhappy within the Royal Family” via an email.

“He tried to tell the Queen in person and he was denied”, she added.

She continued paraphrasing the book: “The message was conveyed to him that the Queen had been confused about her diary and was no longer available.

“Harry was incensed [about this] because it was not true.

“The courtiers had got in the way, it seemed, because they saw the meeting with the Queen as an attempt to pick the Queen off before Harry started talks with the rest of the family.”

The event reportedly happened around Christmas in 2019, a matter of weeks before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex annouced they were to step down as senior royals.

Ms Garibaldi added: “Valentine Low writes that Harry thought about even going to Sandringham and, you know, confronting the Queen in person.

“[This] obviously didn’t happen, but it seems like things definitely got testy behind the scenes.”

Ms Ross stated that this isn’t the first time that Harry has tried to arrange a meeting with the Queen, but has been denied.

She added: “It’ll be interesting to see these stories, sort of, in this book, in print, expanded on with as many details as Valentine Low has.”

Prince Harry is known to have had a close relationship with his beloved grandmother.

Following the late monarch’s death on September 8, the 38-year-old issued a special tribute to his ‘Granny’.

In his statement, Harry wrote that he was “forever grateful for all of our first meetings”, including the “first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren”.
