Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix series has been a hot topic ever since it was first announced in 2022. The six-part series will see the couple “share the other side of their high-profile love story”. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about when it will air.
“The timing could not be worse. I mean, I’m in Boston supposed to be reporting on William and Kate’s Earthshot Prize, it’s the big prize awards tonight, a very ambitious environmental project William’s had going for two years now, and it’s been completely overshadowed.”
Later in the day on Loose Women, the date December 8 could be clearly seen over images taken from the trailer.
The series will shine a light on the early days of Harry and Meghan’s relationship and how they came to meet.
Across the episodes, viewers will learn of the challenges that led them to feel forced to step back from their full-time roles as Royals.
The series is still expected to air in December 2022, following the release of The Crown.
Their trip had already been somewhat overshadowed by the race row at Buckingham Palace, which saw Prince William’s godmother Lady Susan Hussey stand down from her honorary duties.
This came after she apologised for the comments she made to Ngozi Fulani, founder of the charity Sistah Space.
Harry and Meghan are said to discuss other Royals including King Charles, Camilla and Prince William in their documentary.
The series has been directed by top US documentary maker Liz Garbus.
Harry and Meghan signed deals, thought to be worth £100 million, with Netflix and Spotify after moving to the US.
It comes after Meghan launched her podcast, Archetypes with Meghan, in August 2022 and it has received mixed reviews.
She hoped to “investigate, dissect, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back”.
