'Feel at home' Jane McDonald opens up on 'personal' journey in candid family admission

Later on, as the presenter bid farewell to Scotland, she took a moment to think about her father again.

“I think looking out to this, I think of my dad really,” she said before adding: “Because although he’s been gone… he passed over in 1993.

“When you’re somewhere as beautiful as this, your loved ones, I feel come around you.

“And I just feel my dad has been on this journey with me.”

As she looked up into the sky and raised her glass, Jane paid a tribute, by saying: “Here’s to you, dad.”
