‘Excellent’ Mrs Hinch fan shares ‘nifty’ product to dry clothes in ‘no time’ – 21p an hour

Washing clothes can be a chore, especially if space is tight with no access to a tumble dryer. Posting on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one woman asked for some advice when it came to drying her clothes.

Airers can be picked up from several retailers, often for reasonable prices.

If the windows cannot be open due to the weather, it is recommended to use a dehumidifier.

Janette Ashwin said: “Make sure you have good ventilation whatever you do or you’ll get black mould.”

Paula Rutter-Tranter commented: “I use a dehumidifier overnight and use the clothes dryer. All dry in the morning, and I have less ironing too.”

Other group members recommended purchasing a DriBUDDi.

Mandie Houghton said: “Get a DriBUDDi from Argos, they’re brilliant, don’t take up much space and can be folded and put away.”

“Use my DriBUDDi all the time, it’s excellent for drying clothes. A good trick is to fold it down after using it to help save room,” wrote Nikki Miah.

DriBUDDi’s help to dry clothes by using a warm air motor, using 25 percent less energy than other dryers.

What’s more, they also help to remove creases from clothes, reducing the need for ironing.

Amanda Hillary commented: “I was also going to suggest a DriBUDDi, they’re not cheap but long-term will be so worth it, around £60 mine was and I’ve had it for ages.

“Not many people know about the nifty devices so you they are always in stock.

“You just set the timer and leave it, will dry your clothes in no time.”

The indoor airer holds one wash load and can be purchased from various retailers including Amazon, Argos and Wilko.

According to the company behind the airer, it costs as little as 21 pence per hour to run.
