Kwasi Kwarteng insisted he will never apologise for having the courage to “bet big” to put Britain “back on top”. The Chancellor unleashed a £45 billion tax-cutting bonanza to fire up the economy and end the cycle of stagnation. More than 30 million workers were given a double windfall with cuts to national insurance and income tax.
