Camilla, the Queen Consort, made today her first public appearance of the year. The royal looked in high spirits as she was driven to Crathie Kirk by her husband King Charles. This outing comes amid a report senior royals may sit down for a crunch meeting with Prince Harry ahead of the new monarch’s Coronation.
After celebrating Christmas with several other members of the Royal Family in Sandringham following a tradition started by Queen Elizabeth II in the late 1980s, Charles and Camilla travelled north of the border to spend their winter break at Birkhall.
King Charles was already seen attending service last Sunday, when he stunned onlookers with his quirky pink tie with tiny dinosaurs, and has resumed royal engagement last week.
On Thursday, he visited the Aboyne and Mid Deeside Community Shed to learn more about the activities held there in support of the local community.
He also met with representatives of a number of local charities, including a food bank.
On the other hand, Queen Camilla was last seen on Christmas Day, during the cheerful walkabout that followed the service at St Mary Magdalene Church.
